The Keys to Keeping Your Power: Part 3

ree

Growing: undergoing natural development; becoming greater over a period of time

The fact that you are here reading this blog post tells me that you are a work in progress. Your interest in CABS suggests that you want more. You want more peace, more emotional regulation, more opportunities, more freedom, more productivity, more something. There is something (or somethings) that you are striving toward, that requires change from you. And change does not happen without growth.

To grow means that you are developing, that you are becoming stronger and greater. And the truth in acknowledging that you are growing is that you are learning. Growing is a process that cannot happen without learning. And learning is a process that cannot happen without errors. No matter how hard you work at your process of growing, there will be mistakes and bad choices made. And that's okay. As you grow, you become better at making decisions from your new mature place instead of out of reactivity that reverts to the use of old patterns. As you grow, you more quickly realize when you have made mistakes and you become more willing to acknowledge and correct your bad decisions.

Once you understand the truth that you are growing, you learn to give yourself grace. In situations where you may have once shamed yourself over mistakes or poor choices that you made, you can now instead offer yourself grace, learn from your actions, and create space to grow in a direction that will lead you toward a different and better choice the next time.

So as you grow, give yourself room to make mistakes without judgment and to learn without shame.

With Gratitude,

ree
